About me

My Mission Statement

The natural world & its animal & wildlife species resonate an emotion & language no human form can convey alone. Creation allows a subject matters sole to shine, with illustration aiding awareness to sustain their long-term beauty, captured in depth & detail.

My Artist Manifesto

1.) To connote emotion and feeling in the work I produce.

2.) Where the subject matters the focus, portray their place in time and individual character.

3.) Use the very best quality mediums in every traditional piece I create.

4.) Emphasise the natural world and all walks of life’s soul and natural beauty, also with the careful selection of medium(s) I use.

5.) Use my background, childhood exposures and experience, as the foundation for my creation and allow this to inspire my work.

6.) To be further inspired by my immediate environment within my work and learn from it to better connote this in my creativity.

7.)  Realism is what compliments my work and aids its subconscious reality and meaning.

8.) To include depth and detail in the works I create, inspiring a large audience and where there’s movement, emphasise this quality.

My Background

I am Stacey Rose Hobbs (b.1998) and I'm a Designer, Illustrator & Author based in Buckinghamshire. Since completing an Art diploma at Buckinghamshire New University and graduating from the University of the Arts in London with a First Class Honours in Illustration & Visual Media, my interests in Illustration, Digital Design and Fine Art has grown.

My passion as a creative began with realistic painting in gouache and acrylic mediums. Over the last few years I have applied this traditional method to my traditional pastel drawings and digital paintings.

I enjoy creating large and small scale charcoal, graphite and colour pencil drawings with a focus on both animal and natural form subject matters, some of which I have produced on commission.  In my free time I like to produce Pen & Ink sketch illustrations to highlight national days of the year or sometimes purely just for fun.
